Home port was New York; owners were Goodhue & Co.; master was Thomas C. Stoddard; journal keeper was Carolyn Stoddard. On this voyage, the Kathay spoke the ship Airey, the bark Anglo Saxon, the Ann Welsh, the steamer Antelope, the ship Curfew, the Emily Jane, The Levant, the steamer Lily, the bark Oriental, the ship Oneida, the ship Result, the Rodney, the Spirit of the North, the Sweepstakes, the Wild Pigeon, and the Willimette.
